Leading Label is a Christchurch company, which specialises in printing self-adhesive labels for small and medium-size businesses in Canterbury and throughout the South Island.
We also produce labels for several leading wine-makers in Canterbury, Marlborough, Central Otago and Martinborough and are the sole supplier of labels to some of New Zealand’s largest wineries, including Giesen Wines, Pegasus Bay, Forrest Estate and others.
As well as the wine industry, we print labels for virtually every other type of business.
We specialise in the Electrical and Engineering industries and are the only South Island label printer to be accredited by Underwrtiers Labratory (UL).

Leading Label was established in 1989 by Eric Ratcliffe and Roy Bickers. They were both senior executives in the print and packaging industry who recognised the need for a local supplier of quality roll-fed self-adhesive labels in Canterbury.
The business grew quickly and its team of experienced printers, pre-press and post-production staff increased also. Some of those original staff are still with the company, which means you can gain the benefit of their many years’ of experience.
The company remains privately owned by its founders, as well as by key staff within the business.
Leading Label’s expertise was acknowledged with a Gold Medal at the 2007 Pride in Print Awards. The medal was for a highly-complex wine label, for a pinot noir produced by Gecko Wines. |
